Rania Ioannidou (Athens, August 22, 1935-) is a Greek actress.
She was born in 1935 in Athens and studied at the Michalis Kounelakis Drama School (Hellenic Conservatory). She began her career as an actress in 1959 making her film debut in the film Wedding Adventures with a small role alongside Dino Iliopoulos. In 1961 he played in the films Alice in the Navy and Temptation Island. This was followed by the film productions Those Who Forgot God in 1964 and Take My Tear in 1965. In the same decade, she also began appearing in the theater.
In 1971 she appeared in the film Manolios Strikes Again and Grammos. In 1973, she starred with Kostas Voutsa in the film Twenty Women and Me. During the same period she voiced the dubbed series Mannix, The Waltons and Maya the Bee on state television. In 1977, she made her television debut in the ERT series The Village Photographer, followed by her appearance in an episode of the series Once Upon a Time. In the early 1980s and 1990s she was a voice actor in popular animated television series including Little Lulu, Candy Candy, D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers, Dennis the Terrible, The Smurfs, Sailor Moon and others. From 1985 to 1989, she appeared in a total of ten video films (a genre that was popular in Greece at the time), sometimes with small and sometimes with bigger roles.
In 1990 she made a guest appearance in the Mega Channel comedy series The Arbitrary. In 1991, she appeared in brief roles in the series The Amazon File and Honorable Gentlemen. In the 1991-1992 season, she played Mimi's secretary Denisis in the emotional series of ET1 The end of loneliness, while during the period she also appeared in the police series The Visitor of the Fog. This was followed by various participations in successful private television series such as the double role in the series of Haris Roma and Anna Hatzisofia Oi Men and Oi Den on ANT1. In the 1997-1998 season she played in two television series. On the one hand, she starred in the comedy series The Money Around Your Neck on ET1, while on the other hand he started appearing in the Mega Channel comedy series Two Strangers. In the second series, she played one of her best-known television roles, that of professor Markoras' indiscreet neighbor, Marianthis Madouna from 1997 to 1999.
In 2000 she appeared in the daily series For a Place in the Sun. In 2002, she made a guest appearance in the sitcom Mom and Son, while in 2003 in the series The Stables of Erieta Zaimi. In 2003, she began performing the most well-known role in her career, that of the undiscerning papad Marika in the television village of Kolokotronitsi in the ANT1 comedy series To cafe tis Hara. She appeared in the series from the first episode in 2003 until the 88th episode in 2006, having a leading role in the first three cycles of the series.
In 2005 she starred in the short film Let's Go Again. In the 2008-2009 season, she played together with Anda Livitsanou and Thanasis Efthymiadis in the ANT1 daily series Lola. In 2012 she made a guest appearance in the second episode of the second cycle of the comedy series of Alexandros Rigas My mother's sin. In the 2013-2014 season he starred in the web drama series The Pilgrim. .
